Transhuman Projection

In the Han Cluster humans have unlocked a mysterious phenomenon called the Nex, which has given them unique transhuman powers. In The Han Cluster all humans and sapient robots (also known as Linked Machines because they have “Linked” to the Nex”), are able to detach semi-corporeal ghostly versions of themselves from their physical bodies. When they do this, their physical bodies fall asleep as “Sleepers” and their X-Ghosts are then able to move around and do things.

The appearance of a person’s X-Ghost is a “representation of who they truly are” which means they may or may not look like their physical bodies. Some robots’ X-Ghost may look more human, or a human’s may be a different gender. Watch the video below to learn much more about X-Ghosts.

Ghost detachment by itself may not seem particularly remarkable on its surface, but when combined with X-Bonding and X-gear, the deployment of an X-Ghost changes the playing field of both every-day human existence and how roleplaying games are played. Explore these topics and more below!
